Honolulu, Hawaii — Derek Akiyoshi has been appointed Administrator at Maluhia. Most recently, Mr. Akiyoshi served as Assistant Administrator at Convalescent Center of Honolulu.
Mr. Akiyoshi has also held administrative positions at Hawaiian Telcom as Human Resources Business Unit Manager and as Assistant Operations Manager at Hawaii Transfer Company Ltd. Additionally, he held various administrative positions at Grace Pacific Corporation for 18 years.
“Mr.Akiyoshi’s nursing home and extensive administrative experience are critical assets that will help Maluhia as it moves forward in responding to the changing healthcare needs of our growing-aged population,” said Vincent S. Lee, regional chief executive officer, Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, Oahu Region. “Derek’s expertise in working with employees, physicians and executives will serve to improve our patient care.”
